You know, there’s a reason we were given this job. No one gets past us… not a single person. If you don’t trust us… well… you’re more than willing to walk right the fuck out that door.

Oh, I’ve been just dying to meet you!! I’d say that I’m looking forward to blending you like a smoothie… but you’ll probably taste like gravel.

Supermodel’s Legs, usually referred to as just Legs, is the Stand of Leah Howe, an antagonist featured in Unlucky Stars.

First appearance: Chapter 8 - Half An Octopus

Appearance[]

Supermodel’s Legs takes the form of a feminine robotic humanoid with light blue skin and darker blue hair with a pink streak in it. Her hair is short in the back and long in the front, covering the left side of her face. From what is visible, she has a pink striped eye with no pupil, and a mouth stitched into a permanent smile.

In terms of clothing, she wears a short skirt, a revealing string bikini top, and high heeled platform shoes, all of which are pink. At the end of her wrists, instead of hands, she has pink cuffs, out of which emerge long sword-like blades. She also wears a black leather belt with a pink heart-shaped buckle and pink studs, as well as studded leather bracelets right below her aforementioned cuffs, and a matching choker.

Her mouth appears to be entirely non-functional, not moving as she talks, with her eye instead lighting up in time with her words.

Personality[]

Supermodel’s Legs is a fully sentient Stand with an incredibly unstable personality, shifting frequently between a happy and playful, almost childlike disposition and one that is significantly more cruel, violent, and mature. She has a side to herself that she considers “playful”, but most others would consider “sadistic and horrifying”. She frequently plays “practical jokes” on people that generally involve convincing them that she’s about to kill them, though Leah is generally quick to confirm that she is not serious.

She loves Leah more than anything and appears to look up to her as a parental figure, not always agreeing with everything that she says or does but always being willing to obey her out of trust. Her and Leah argue frequently, but never actually mean anything they say, generally making up mere minutes after every fight, if that long.

She is highly emotionally fragile, and despite loving Leah, she still frequently believes that she is the main cause of strife in her life, and is quick to assume that Leah is mad at her whenever she notices a tonal shift. She frequently makes sounds like she's crying, but can't actually display any form of sadness due to the nature of her face.

Supermodel’s Legs loves to be the centre of attention, especially Leah’s, generally acting out and getting significantly more likely to play some of her “jokes” on people that Leah is with, partially out of jealousy and partially out of boredom.

She doesn’t tend to take things seriously, generally believing that her and Leah’s actions don’t have that big of consequences no matter what they are, and that everything will always end up working out in the end. She thinks very highly of Leah, and believes that she deserves the world, and questions why she would ever follow the orders of anyone.

She appears to like giving people nicknames, as seen when she calls Jacob Kishibe “Jakey” and Jason Paige "JJ".

She also has a particular liking for dirty humour, but she tends to be ignored by Leah and others whenever she tells such a joke.

She is apparently good friends with Mew Mew, even though their users do not get along.

Abilities and Powers[]

While boasting remarkable speed and offensive power with the use of the twin blades on her arms, she excels in putting on pressure to overcome her lacklustre durability with her main ability.

Blade Production[]

Supermodel's Legs' Knife

When Supermodel’s Legs cuts a surface with one of her arm blades, she is then able to summon at will a blade from the cut she left, which will fly directly toward the spot she was when it was initially summoned in a straight line, stopping if it gets lodged in something, but not being affected by other external forces like wind or gravity. Should one of the blades come into contact with her body, it will bounce off of her, not harming her in the slightest, and change its flight trajectory to be heading away from her, but still not being affected by external forces. One cut can only produce one blade; once a cut has been used to summon a blade, it can never be used to do so again.

Leah also has the ability to pull a knife out of any unused cut mark of her own accord and is able to wield it as a conventional weapon.

Trivia[]

  • This Stand is partially based on Electra Heart and partially based on the Scissor Sisters… if you couldn’t tell.
  • The Stand’s design is inspired by the song Supermodel’s Legs being about society putting too much pressure on women to look perfect, reflected in design elements such as the permanent smile and the literal doll-like body
  • The Stand was originally planned to have four insect-like legs as a reference to the lyric, “I will never quite have a supermodel’s legs / Never in a million years / Unless I cut each one in half / Become half an octopus”
    • This design was scrapped because I couldn’t make it look good
  • There is also a version of this Stand that is wearing a tank top, for which I considered swapping out the official version, but I ultimately decided against it because I think that this design is way funnier
  • The knives her ability produces are based on (by which I mean directly plagiarized from) the Divine Dagger from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
