Super Psycho Love is the Stand of Black Cat, featured in Unlucky Stars. After exposure to Shugaland R∆, it temporarily evolved into Weapon.

First appearance: Chapter 2 - That's right, this is a superhero story

Appearance[]

Super Psycho Love resembles a pink revolver with a heart-shaped barrel. Carved into it in four places (two on each side) are heart-shaped marks, the two of which that are on the handle also having a five-pointed star design around them. The cylinder of the gun has six chambers, coloured one of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

When a chamber does not have a bullet inside of it, it turns pink. The bullets fired by Super Psycho Love are heart-shaped to match the shape of the barrel.

Magic Bullets[]

As a Stand that is, for all intents and purposes, a gun, Super Psycho Love's ability is to fire bullets. These bullets, while varying in colour, are all functionally the same.

When firing a bullet, Black Cat has the ability to decide on its behaviour, namely, three attributes:

  • speed
  • form
  • impact effect

Speed is pretty straightforward, it determines how fast a bullet flies. This can range from a slow, ominous encroach, moving at barely half a kilometre an hour, to many, many times faster than real-life bullets.

Form details whether or not the bullet will shift into a star-shaped projectile that explodes on contact, or remain in a heart-shaped form that will act like a regular bullet. Heart bullets' damage are proportional to their speed, but star bullets explode with the same strength regardless, making them very deadly fast or slow.

When a heart bullet comes into contact with an inorganic material, such as a wall, it will break down and enter it, leaving behind a heart-shaped mark of its corresponding colour, somewhat resembling a paint splatter. At any time, the bullet can be called back to the gun by Black Cat, moving at a much higher speed than would have been possible before. While bullets can only be fired straight coming out of the Stand, coming back out of a surface results in the bullets being able to travel in curved lines as they home in on the gun, ideal for surprise attacks or for attacking an enemy from multiple angles. On the other hand, the impact effect can be changed for star bullets, making it so that they can behave like a heart bullet (leaving behind a star-shaped mark of its colour upon entering a surface instead) or merely explode on contact.

When a star bullet explodes, it breaks down into fine powdery substance that will slowly make its way back to Super Psycho Love and reform into a bullet, which takes a significantly longer time than if it were to simply fly back into its position in the barrel, resulting in Black Cat needing to carefully plan when she is going to use star bullets over heart bullets.

Bullets that are called back to Super Psycho Love leave behind the mark they left on the surface they were residing in for a few hours after they are called back, starting to fade away after that time, leaving the impression of some kind of street art having been placed in the location of every fight.

Shape Change[]

Black Cat has become extremely experienced and proficient with her Stand over her many years of activity, to the point where she has great control over it, being able to manipulate aspects of it such as its size and its barrel's length, in a technique similar to Star Finger.

Trivia[]

  • The fact that it's a gun Stand is based on the lyric, "Aim, pull the trigger"... and nothing more. It's that simple, really.
    • Also gun Stands are cool, I've been wanting to make one for a while now. Sweet Six Shooter was originally planned to be one, but a gun can't really punch people, so that was changed.
  • The idea that the marks left behind resemble paint and last a while after the Stand is used references the street artist Banksy, who in turn is the namesake for the band Coyote Kisses' cat, which the song Black Cat was made in honour of after his death.
