  • Profesor Noriaki Kakyoin appearance Appearance

He barely looks any older than during Stardust Crusaders, and yet more matured. Still retaining his characteristic large, twisting bang hanging in front of his face, his hair is a lot longer which he keeps tied up.

He retains the two thin scars that are crossing both of his eyes, and covers them up with angular, yellow-tinted glasses.

Kakyoin predominantly wears a green trench coat with a black turtleneck sweater underneath, and matching pants with green leather shoes that have cherries embellished onto them.

(Life after stardust crusaders)

After the events of stardust crusaders, Kakyoin spent seven  years in the care of the Speedwagon Foundation. During that time, he studied from his hospital bed, and eventually became a professor in archaeology. While Kakyoin was in the hospital in a coma, Jotaro Kujo visited him every day for three years, hoping for him to wake up. Unfortunately, after Kakyoin woke from his coma, Jotaro became distant because he felt guilty and responsible for Kakyoin's injuries and couldn't face him. Soon after Kakyoin woke up, Jotaro unexpectedly enrolled into a college in Florida, where he rushed into a loveless marriage in attempts to forget about Kakyoin. Jotaro later had a daughter (Jolyne Kujo) with the woman he married.

Upset about losing his friend, Kakyoin spent the next few years of his stay at the hospital concentrating on his studies to become a historian for the Speedwagon Foundation. During the events of DiU, Kakyoin was called by Holly Kujo, Jotaro's mother, who informed him of Jotaro's declining marriage, and how much Jotaro regretted leaving him. Kakyoin was sent by the Speedwagon Foundation to help Jotaro on his mission in Morioh Town, as his knowledge of Stand arrows could prove useful. At first, Jotaro and Kakyoin worked on a business only partnership. Kakyoin held a grudge against Jotaro for leaving without so much as a good bye. And Jotaro was feeling guiltier than before.

After opening up to each other, their friendship seemed to continue as if it had never stopped. Jotaro confessed he made a mistake, and his divorce was being finalized, and that he wished he had been brave enough to apologize to Kakyoin for leaving on him.
