Inspiration's Hold is a collaborative story effort between Th3Gr8DrX and ZZ's Wheel Of Fortune2. It takes place during the summer of 2021, between The Duality of Stand and The Last Stand. Unlike most parts, this part will be told from two different perspectives, each one written by a different author. Eventually, the two stories converge into one and they work together to take down L'amour and learn more about the experimental drug Canzoni Preferite.

Protagonists

  • Joshua Johanson
    • Stand: Bye Bye Baby Boo
    • Strengths:
      • very versatile ability
      • the user can use the ability as well
      • only it and its user can interact with drawings; can't be disarmed
    • Weaknesses:
      • not particularly strong
      • drawings can take time to make
  • Jayden Joel
    • Stand: Piano Man
    • Strengths:
      • Technically no range limit as long as the target can be seen or visualized
      • Can affect people in many, many ways with Synesthesia.
      • No glass is safe.
      • Pairs well with Jayden's sniping.
      • Piano Man is intangible and can travel long distances from Jayden, meaning it works well for surveillance and cannot be attacked directly.
    • Weaknesses:
      • Not physically strong or fast
      • The user is slightly unhinged
      • Can only target one sound originator at a time
      • By attacking the source of the sound, Jayden is in danger.

Jayden's Allies (L 'amour)

  • Baritone
    • Stand: Mr. Roboto
    • Strengths:
      • Clones are excellent at most tasks
      • The stand is easily concealable
      • The nanites can act as a virus
      • Can build effectively anything given enough time
    • Weaknesses
      • Takes time to build things
      • Clones only follow orders and cannot intelligently adapt
      • Depending on the nearby materials, clones get weaker
  • B.O.B.A.
    • Stand: Tangled Up
      • Strengths:
    • Great for causing confusion
    • Can cause people to commit suicide
    • Non stand users are especially vulnerable to the stand
      • Weaknesses:
    • Stand users can more easily determine who is a fake or not
    • Ribbons are easily destroyed
    • Only average punching power
  • Kirami Tailes
    • Stand: Synthestitch
      • Strengths:
    • Very versatile
    • Acts on its own
    • Drugs are incredibly detrimental and addictive
    • Great for stealth work
      • Weaknesses:
    • Acts on its own
    • Will literally give drugs to anyone if left unattended
    • Healing from it leaves you worse than you started.
  • Zwei Vier
    • Stand: Boom Boom, Boom Boom
      • Strengths:
    • Very powerful
    • Range of sight
    • Incredibly versatile
      • Weaknesses
    • User is new to stands, and easily scares or overreacts
    • Can have extreme collateral damage
    • The user needs to be able to actually talk to use the ability, he has a bad stutter.
  • Mr. Magpie
    • Uh... Ability?: Bird Of Paradise
      • Strengths:
    • Very inconspicuous
    • Undetectable by stand detecting means
    • Bird form is fast and has claws
      • Weaknesses
    • User has a degenerative bone disease
    • Weak compared to most other abilities
    • Better at ambushes than at combat

  • Madeline Happenstance
    • Stand: Dummy!
    • Strengths:
      • Pretty useful for helping Madeline out
      • Damage to the Stand doesn't transfer to the user
      • Can work unnoticed quite easily
    • Weaknesses:
      • Not very strong or fast or... you get the point, it doesn't fight.
  • Kojiro Tajiri
    • Stand: Destiny Bond
    • Strengths:
      • Decent durability
      • Pretty good power
    • Weaknesses:
      • Not very fast
      • Has no ability whatsoever, is borderline useless
  • Richard Westlake
    • Stand: Hermit The Frog
    • Strengths:
      • Excellent for surveillance
      • Inconspicuous
      • Can cause chaos by having people possessed
      • Synergy with Brook
    • Weaknesses:
      • Not AT ALL for combat
      • Glass Balloons can be broken too soon, which can be very bad.
  • Mr. Mambo
    • Stand: Swing Thing (sort of)
    • Strengths:
      • Very fast
      • Great precision
      • Almost entirely indestructible
      • Pretty strong, can cut through much tougher materials than a normal sword
      • Actively tries to protect the user
    • Weaknesses:
      • Very straightforward
      • Battle-competent Stands should have very little difficulty dealing with it
      • Mr. Mambo has very little experience with Stands as a whole, and is easily freaked out
  • Brook Happenstance
    • Stand: nope
    • Strengths:
      • Is a ghost
    • Weaknesses:
      • Is a ghost

Neutral/Somewhat unaligned/Foe turned friend

  • Darren O'Malley
    • Stand: Panopticon
      • Strengths:
    • Extremely hard to counter
    • Can be dangerous if the user is willing to do things like grab live wires (Which he is)
    • You can't damage the user while the stand is active
      • Weaknesses
    • Doesn't protect the user from non-damaging effects, such as illusions or adhesion.
    • If the stand is attacked, the user goes blind for ten minutes.
    • While it's great for long range surveillance... it's a floating eye. It can't fight without its ability.
  • Q
    • Stand: Glitter & Gold
      • Strengths:
    • Very versatile
    • Great range
    • Pairs well with a gun, but all projectiles become relatively lethal.
    • Can be quite unexpected
      • Weaknesses:
    • No physical owner, relies solely on trick shots.
    • Very vulnerable to illusions, as it needs to see to target.
    • Not so great if it decides to latch onto something other than a bullet.
  • Blake Robinson
    • Stand: An Unhealthy Obsession
      • Strengths:
    • The ability technically has no counter
    • Extremely effective against paranoid people
    • If left 'on' for long enough, it can drive people to insanity
      • Weaknesses
    • Ability is harmless in combat
    • Ineffective against sane people
  • Chester Hazelton
    • Stand: Stupendous Sailor
      • Strengths
    • Extraordinarily strong
    • Ability is dangerous and versatile
    • Stand, while not particularly long ranged, can extend its body very far
    • Damage to the stand makes it bounce back even stronger
    • Removed parts of the stand remain alive for about an hour (More in the presence of water)
      • Weaknesses
    • Portals are highly unstable and close very quickly.
    • Gets weaker without water around it
    • Portals can be used by anyone
  • Chadwick S. P.
    • Stand: Pass The Time
      • Strengths:
    • Completely omnipotent
    • Shields Chadwick from any form of attack or ability
    • Absolutely unbeatable
      • Weaknesses
    • None. This stand has no weakness. If you think you or anyone else could beat it, you are wrong.

Stuff That's Madeline's Fault

  • Horror Pop
    • Stand: Yes
    • Strengths:
      • Really fuckin’ strong
      • Can go through anything, hiding is near impossible
      • Spooky Zones are confusing as hell
      • Its one weakness is absolutely terrified of it.
      • Completely invincible. So that’s pretty strong.
    • Weaknesses:
      • Not super fast
      • Not very smart. Like, literally has zero intelligence. (I guess you could call that “automatic” lol)
      • Can only appear and function within Spooky Zones
      • Starlight is always nearby, trying to help people beat it
  • Starlight
    • Strengths:
      • Can help people beat Horror Pop
      • Uh… it’s very cute?
    • Weaknesses:
      • Can’t fight
      • Pretty short range
      • Is terrified of the one thing that it’s supposed to help people deal with
  • Jeremy Seane
    • Stand: (Kind Of) Be More Chill
      • Strengths
    • Versatile ability which allows it to control situations very fast
    • It can give copies of itself to anyone it wants to
    • Powerful attacks
      • Weaknesses
    • Has a backdoor deactivation condition installed by Madeline.
    • Jeremy's original, wimpy personality can still be appealed to
    • Electromagnetic pulses can fully disable the stand for a few minutes
  • Brad G. Patsmond
    • Stand: Ad Infinitum
      • Strengths:
    • Quite useful in everyday life
    • Thousands upon thousands of applications
    • Given enough time, Brad can turn anything into anything else and back again
      • Weaknesses
    • Average strength
    • The more times an object is transmuted, the harder it becomes to transmute it again
    • Brad is always willing to make a deal
  • Ava Violet
    • Stand: Spider Dance
      • Strengths
    • Powerful explosions, can easily blow off limbs
    • People often wander into the stand's area of effect without realizing it
    • Once you are stuck, there aren't too many ways to escape.
      • Weaknesses
    • Ava can be somewhat reasoned with
    • Cannot stick to purple objects

Antagonists

  • Combat Rock
    • Stand: Should I Stay or Should I Go?
      • Strengths
        • The longer a fight drags on, the more it has the advantage
        • Can disguise itself, albeit poorly, as another person
        • Being made of newspaper is very handy for stealth
        • Large range
        • Damage on the stand is not reflected on the user
      • Weaknesses
        • The person fighting it can tactically choose between stay or go
        • Every 1 minute, there is a 30 second relief
        • Can only target one person at a time
  • Mr. Bright Side
    • Stand: The Thin White Duke
      • Strengths:
    • Very disorienting
    • Excellent at making people do irrational things
    • Gives Mr. Bright Side insight into his opponents actions.
    • Surprisingly strong
      • Weaknesses
    • Lines can only travel on 2D surfaces and not on liquids or gases.
    • Ability can be easily countered once figured out.
  • Limone Naso
    • Stand: Touch Tone Telephone
      • Strengths:
    • Ability is very powerful and hard to counter
    • Literally anything Limone says will be believed/obeyed/answered.
    • Limone eventually learns how to store the power of his stand in a recording.
      • Weaknesses
    • He needs to actually be able to call someone for most of the part
    • If he's ever found, he's dead meat
    • Ineffective against people who can't hear or have their hearing obstructed
  • Laura Wrenford
    • Stand: Renegade Soundwave
      • Strengths:
    • Great at causing confusion and miscommunication
    • Allows for brief bursts of intangibility
    • Can cause violent vibrations and sound wave attacks
    • Can fully disable other sound based stands
      • Weaknesses
    • Despite being able to completely isolate sound-based communication, visual information can be transmitted without interference
    • The stand's effectiveness is drastically decreased once anyone figures out what it does.
  • (REMOVED)
    • Stand: Dear Vienna
      • Strengths:
    • Freeze Frames are tricky to figure out and easy to use
    • Not really a range limit
    • Can photograph anywhere. Literally anywhere.
    • The stand itself is very long range.
      • Weaknesses:
    • Stand isn't particularly durable
    • Freeze Frames are useless without past/future dangers to use.
    • Long range photography takes time.
