—Ms. Young

Dear Vienna is the stand of Ms. Young, the main antagonist of Inspiration's Hold.

Appearance[]

Dear Vienna is a feminine humanoid stand about five and half feet tall, with golden skin. It has rainbow coloured hair that seems to float and change length at random, similar to an Aurora Borealis mixed with fiber optic cables. It has eyes that are completely black, resembling camera lenses. It has a brown camera with a single stripe on it attached to its shoulder, with four connected wires (Red, orange, yellow, and green) attaching to its neck. The camera can be detached from its 'dock' on Dear Vienna's shoulder, and the wire can extend up to fifteen meters, and can be finely manipulated by the stand, although it isn't particularly powerful or fast. It wears a golden chestplate with what appears to be a square with an hourglass inside carved into the front. It has a loose skirt that is held up with another wire (light blue, dark blue, purple, and pink) It also wears knee length black boots that have a three inch heel. A string of black and white photographs of random things circles its body, running down its neck before looping around its torso twice and ending in a small curl. When the ability is active, the pictures change to pictures of each 'Frame'.

A freeze frame appears as the affected area, except at the boundary, there is a translucent black barrier before a recursion of the area is seen.

Abilities[]

Freeze Frames[]

Dear Vienna's primary ability is to trap people in a state where they are in between seconds by photographing the desired area of effect with its camera.. The area affected can be a cube of up to fifteen meters on a side. When the ability is active, people and animals within the frame will be able to move independently of the ability, however plants and inanimate objects are still affected. The affected ability is completely severed from the outside, in a similar manner to Atom Heart Father, simply being teleported to the other side.

Within the affected area, Dear Vienna can rewind or fast forward the positions of objects as slowly of quickly as it likes. When this happens, 'frames' of movement appear where the object will be and has been within the area. All objects are not synchronized, so one part of the area may be going forward while the other goes backward. The limit for this stand is 24 hours before or after the freeze frames are created. If an object has left the area before the freeze frame's creation, it will simply appear to come back. This does not apply to living beings. When travelling into the future, it is based on the most likely future, so Freeze Frames can't really be used to tell the future.

For example, if someone shot a bullet one hour before a freeze frame was created, and the freeze frame rewound it at normal speed, it would act as a bullet still, just backwards. Thus, the stand is excellent for creating traps and dangerous areas.

After 30 seconds, a freeze frame disappears, and another can't be created for another fifteen seconds.

Dementia[]

When a freeze frame is created, Ms. Young can set a type of object that is contained within the frame. Any instance of the designated object within the frame can now activate Dear Vienna's secondary ability, Dementia. (For instance, every orange, or every pencil would work) When the object is triggered, a certain piece of information is chosen as well. The information is limited to a single sentence.

The ability activated when someone or something touches the object. If they touch the object and do not know the stored information, they gain knowledge of the sentence in the form of Ms. Young's voice telling them the information as soon as the freeze frame ends. If they did know the information, then they forget it as soon as the freeze frame ends.

If they touch the same type of object after the freeze frame ends, they instantly forget/regain the information that they lost or gained, respectively.

Trivia[]

  • The ability is inspired by the lyrics "Till I reviewed every frame, and basic shape."
    • Actually, the name was inspired by the ability and lyrics coinciding, but you don't need to know that.
    • The secondary ability is named after the Owl City song Dementia and inspired by the lyrics "And don't remember this place unless."
