Stands

Stands have been the main form of combat since Stardust Crusaders. They are spirits that represent the user's soul, and give them logic-defying abilities such as restoring objects and people to a "past state" or unravelling the user's body into string. Since late Stardust Crusaders, all Stands are named after a band, musician, song or album. In Steel Ball Run, Stands became more about giving their user abilities rather than the Stands themselves fighting, but JoJolion returned to the usual Stand battle formula.
