Bad Romance was the Stand of Bethany Moon's boyfriend before he was killed and had his Stand stolen by The Zombie, serving as a minor antagonist in the ninth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - The Duality of Stand.
Appearance[]
Bad Romance takes the form of a small, black spider-like creature with a bright yellow face, that could be a mask of sort, with a cartoonish smily face on it that rides on its user's back.
The Strange Creatures that it summons are tall, gender-ambiguous humanoids of entirely white colouration, with a head shape that gives them the resemblance of wearing a tall, pointed crown. They have no eyes, but do have small, pointy noses and red lips with sharp fangs in their mouths. They have feet like bird talons and fingers like claws, each one coming to a hooked point. They appear to be wearing a leotard of sorts over their entire body.
Personality[]
Bad Romance itself doesn't display very much of a personality of its own, but it does notably like to hold onto its user, and periodically look around their head to see what's going on.
Strange Creatures, on the other hand, are entirely sentient, and will obey commands Bad Romance gives them. Under The Zombie's control, Strange Creatures are violent, ruthless, and bloodthirsty, but were apparently quite docile with Bad Romance's previous user.
Abilities and Powers[]
Strange Creature Generation[]
Bad Romance's ability is to cause Strange Creatures to appear from the ground, busting through whatever material it may be. Strange Creatures are extremely physically powerful and are able to do a lot of damage overall, especially when working together, thanks to both claws and teeth.
Strange Creatures have no organs or bodily functions, and therefore injuries do very little to them unless they involve having limbs removed. Even having the head destroyed does very little other than resulting in them becoming unable to bite anymore.
Strange Creatures are, however, flammable and therefore vulnerable to fire.
Only five Strange Creatures can exist at a time, and one must be destroyed before a sixth can be summoned. They can also be manually un-summoned in favour of another, but this takes time.
Trivia[]
- This later ended up becoming a canon (sorta) Stand, that also drew from the same design inspiration as Th3Gr8DrX's version, that being a few scenes in the music video featuring bizarrely-dressed background dancers. My version came first though!!! Even if this page came out after Whitesnake's Miscalculation, this Stand actually appeared in The Duality of Stand first.
